Understanding the Brain and the Nervous System
Our thoughts, emotions, sleep, energy levels, and ability to cope with stress are all influenced by how the brain and nervous system are functioning.
When life experiences, such as chronic stress, trauma, illness, concussion, or hormonal changes affect the brain, patterns of activity can become dysregulated.
This may show up as:
Anxiety or persistent worry

Difficulty sleeping

Emotional overwhelm

Brain fog or poor concentration

Fatigue or burnout

Difficulty calming your nervous system

These symptoms are often signs that the brain's regulation systems are under strain rather than a sign of personal weakness or lack of effort.
Neurotherapy works by supporting the brain's natural ability to restore healthier patterns of regulation.

How Neurotherapy works
Understanding Individual Brain Patterns
QEEG
Before beginning neurotherapy, we conduct a quantitative EEG (qEEG) or brain map.
This assessment measures electrical activity in the brain using sensors placed on the scalp. It is painless and non-invasive.
Brain mapping allows us to observe patterns such as:
areas of excessive or reduced activity
networks involved in attention, emotional regulation, and sleep
patterns sometimes associated with stress, trauma, concussion or fatigue

This information guides your personalized neurotherapy training plan.

Neurotherapy uses gentle, non-invasive methods to encourage the brain to move toward healthier patterns of activity.
At MettaMorphsosis Neurotherapy Centre, that could include:

Photobiomodulation (Light Therapy)
Low-level laser light is applied to specific areas of the scalp to support cellular energy production in the brain and entrain those areas to
create more of specific frequencies.

Research suggests this approach may help improve brain metabolism, circulation and neural communication.

Transcranial Microcurrent Stimulation
Very low electric currents far below levels that would cause discomfort help entrain the brain and guide it toward more balanced patterns
of activity.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (pEMF)
Gentle electromagnetic pulses are used to support neural regulation and cellular communication.
Many clients find this approach calming and restorative.

Supporting Brain Regulation

Dynamical Neurofeedback
MettaMorphosis Neurotherapy has chosen NeurOptimal Neurofeedback systems for several reasons.

NeurOptimal® is an advanced neurotechnology designed to support the brain’s natural ability to adjust and reorganize over time.
It is fully automated and is not a medical treatment or a diagnostic tool. NeurOptimal® reflects real-time activity back to the central nervous system, offering the brain an opportunity to adapt and reorganize on its own terms.
Many people choose brain training to support personal goals related to focus, emotional balance, restfulness, or performance, with each experience being unique.

Each session provides feedback based on what your brain is doing on that day, and no two sessions will be exactly the same.
